THE MACHINE TOOLS MERCHANTS’ ASSOCIATION

Machine Tools Africa 2024 showcased the technology that will shape the future of manufacturing. The show brought industry leaders together to explore the latest advancements in manufacturing technology. The event showcased cutting-edge machine tools, CNC machinery, 3D printing, robotics, components, systems, and much more. With over 6,000 visitors attending the show, people had the opportunity to see live demonstrations and gain more knowledge from the live seminars that took place. For the first time ever, WorldSkills took part in the show, where young individuals got to demonstrate their talent and skills in the WorldSkills competition. The competition required each individual competitor to design a part, machine it, and complete it within 5 hours.
Mike Lee, Chairman of the Machine Tool Merchants’ Association (MTMA) says: “We are delighted with the turnout of the show. There have been a lot of quality visitors, really good exhibitors and a high number of overseas principals. It’s been very busy with plenty of excitement and the customers that were here were very positive, which is good for our industry going forward.”
